Valorant’s Episode 4 is out now and Act 1 sees the introduction of a brand new agent, tweaks to game’s battle pass, and new eligibility rules for the game’s competitive mode.
The new agent, Neon, is the quickest in the game, with the ability to dash across the map at lightning speed. The duelist is also the first and only agent in the game with the ability to slide, so it will be interesting to see how the meta evolves around her.
The new season also means a new battle pass. As always, there are free and premium tier items available to unlock, with the premium battle pass priced at around Rs 800. This season also sees a new skinline, called Protocol, being available to purchase from the store, with premium skins available for melee, Phantom, Spectre, Bulldog and Sheriff.
Lastly, Riot Games has now introduced a level 20 requirement before new players can join competitive queues. Riot says the change will ensure players have spent sufficient time with the game before jumping in with highly skilled players.
