Year 2 of Hitman 3 will kick off on January 20, 2022, developer IO Interactive has announced, while also revealing the roadmap of updates that fans can look forward to. With Year 2, Hitman 3 will bring another 12 months of updates and content to Agent 47’s latest adventure. IO says this will include “new maps, new storylines, new modes and new ways to play.”
Specifically for PC players, Hitman 3 will be adding ray-tracing support as well as VR support in 2022. IO plans to reveal full technical details for VR, including the platforms, before Year 2 kicks off.
Fans of Elusive Targets can look forward to a new way to play. Year 2 will be bringing a new mode, called Elusive Target Arcade, a permanent game mode, the details of which will also be revealed in January 2022.
Lastly, IO Interactive has also teased that Hitman 3 will be getting a major update in Spring 2022. Again, no other details were shared.
IO Interactive says Hitman 3 is the most successful game ever in the popular stealth action series that first debuted in the year 2000. The current trilogy – dubbed the World of Assassination Trilogy –has already surpassed the 50 million combined players mark.
