As part of Xbox’s 20th anniversary celebration, Microsoft went ahead and shadow-dropped Halo: Infinite’s entire multiplayer offering free of cost to both PC and Xbox players.
Halo: Infinite is technically in the “beta” phase right now, but it launches with all the content that would have been available on its original launch date of December 8. As of now, the single-player component of Infinite will still launch on that date.
Infinite’s multiplayer has been launched with fan-favourite modes like Slayer, Capture the Flag, Oddball, Strongholds and Fiesta across the smaller maps. In Big Team Battle mode (bigger maps with vehicles involved), you have Slayer, Capture the Flag, Total Control and Stockpile. Like most shooters today, Halo: Infinite will follow the live service format, offering a steady stream of content over time. Currently, the game has 10 maps, with more to come next year.
